A DIRECTION FOR CONTINUED GROWTH

Learning Pathways

From a first mechanism to more connected systems.

Explore the pathways

Robotics

Build through hands-on engineering.

Robotics brings together designing, constructing, coding, testing, troubleshooting and improving real systems. A mechanism becomes a way to explore how an idea works in practice.

VEX GO supports foundational construction, mechanisms and collaborative problem solving. VEX IQ connects more involved mechanical design with sensors, coding and iterative testing.

Competition Teams

Prepare, build and think together.

Competition-focused practice connects design, construction, programming, testing and strategy with collaborative problem solving. Students learn to explain choices, prepare together and respond to feedback.

VEX IQ team development, VEX V5 engineering and other competition projects are part of this broader direction. Participation depends on the actual project and arrangements; a pathway is not a guarantee of a team or competition place.

AI Technology

Connect sensing, reasoning and action.

AI Technology is a longer-term learning direction: exploring how intelligent systems sense information, reason about it and act in the physical world.

Practical projects can connect robotics and AI, sensing and data, applied problem solving and programming foundations. The aim is to connect ideas to things students can investigate and explain.
