Membership Policy

1. 会员年度与学生会员资格
Membership Year and Student Membership

会员年度为每年 9 月 1 日至次年 8 月 31 日，首个会员年度自 2026 年 9 月 1 日起。学生的年度会员申请获社团接受、年度项目注册获得确认、付款安排完成并满足适用要求后，该学生成为本会员年度的 Brave Robotics Society 学生会员（Student Member）。

The membership year runs from September 1 to August 31, beginning September 1, 2026. A student becomes a Brave Robotics Society Student Member for the membership year once the student’s annual membership application is accepted, annual program registration is confirmed, payment arrangements are completed, and applicable requirements are satisfied.

家长或监护人因学生注册而成为该学生的登记联系人和监护人代表，但不会仅因学生参加项目而成为社团会员。每份会员申请对应 1 名学生；同一家庭的兄弟姐妹分别形成各自的学生会员资格，但费用可按家庭学生人数统一计算。

A parent or guardian becomes the registered family contact and guardian representative for the student but does not become a Society member solely because the student participates. Each membership application applies to one student. Siblings hold separate student memberships, while fees may be calculated together based on the number of registered students in the family.

现阶段学生会员为无治理表决权会员。学生会员资格本身不产生会员大会表决权、理事选举权或理事席位；如社团未来调整治理参与方式，将通过适用的治理文件和正式程序另行确认。

At this stage, Student Members are non-voting members for governance purposes. Student membership does not itself create voting rights at member meetings, rights to elect directors, or a board seat. Any future change to governance participation will be established separately through the Society’s applicable governing documents and formal process.

2. 体验计划
Trial Programs

首次参加 Brave Robotics Society 常规项目的学生，可在名额允许的情况下选择单次体验或一个月体验。单次体验为 3 小时，每名学生 $100，一次性收取且不退款；若在单次体验结束后 7 天内转为一个月体验，已支付的 $100 可全额抵扣 $300 一个月体验费。一个月体验费为每名学生 $300，一次性收取且不退款，包含连续 30 天内最多 4 次常规训练。

A student new to a regular Brave Robotics Society program may, subject to capacity, choose either a single-session trial or a one-month trial. The single-session trial is three hours and costs $100 per student, charged once and non-refundable. If the student converts to the one-month trial within seven days after the single-session trial, the full $100 Single-Session Trial Fee may be credited toward the $300 One-Month Trial Fee. The One-Month Trial Fee is $300 per student, charged once and non-refundable, and includes up to four regular training sessions within 30 consecutive days.

体验期间学生尚未取得年度学生会员资格，且不保证获得竞赛队伍名额、比赛报名、上场机会、队服或其他年度会员权益。若学生完成一个月体验，并在体验结束后 7 天内完成年度会员转换，已支付的完整 $300 一个月体验费可全额抵扣该学生所属家庭经确认的年度费用。

During either trial option, the student has not yet obtained annual Student Membership and is not guaranteed competition-team placement, event registration, match participation, a team uniform, or other annual-member benefits. If the student completes the one-month trial and converts to annual Student Membership within seven days after the one-month trial ends, the full $300 One-Month Trial Fee may be credited toward the confirmed annual fee for the student’s family.

3. 年度费用与包含内容
Annual Fees and Included Services

年度费用按同一家庭的注册学生人数计算。该家庭计费方式仅用于费用安排，不改变每名学生分别作为学生会员的身份。

Annual fees are calculated based on the number of registered students in the same family. This family-based pricing arrangement applies to fees only and does not change the fact that each registered student holds a separate Student Membership.

年度费用通常包括：在社团安排的常规项目周内每周至少一次、不少于 3 小时的常规训练；指定开放练习时段的使用；一个年度训练赛季；标准耗材的合理使用；公共机器人器材与场地；每名学生一套基础队服；社区活动；以及对实际完成且经核实的义工服务提供时数记录或证明。

Annual fees normally include: at least one regular training session of no less than three hours during scheduled program weeks; access to designated open-practice periods; one annual training season; reasonable use of standard consumables; shared robotics equipment and fields; one basic team uniform per student; community activities; and records or confirmation of verified volunteer service actually completed.

年度费用不包括：外部赛事报名费、差旅和住宿；个别队伍的额外赛事成本；特殊或个人专用装备；以及一对一加练。外部赛事费用可由参赛家庭自理或由队员按事先公布的方式分摊。社团代购的特殊装备原则上按实际成本收取。

Annual fees do not include external competition entry fees, travel or accommodation; additional team-specific competition costs; special or personal equipment; or one-to-one extra training. External event costs may be paid directly by participating families or shared among team members under arrangements communicated in advance. Special equipment purchased through the Society will generally be charged at actual cost.

设备供应与个人设备：年度费用原则上包含社团现有公共机器人器材的合理使用，但注册资格仍受设备容量限制。若公共设备不足，社团可在确认新的年度注册前，将购买一套经社团认可的个人或队伍设备作为适用项目的注册条件。家庭可自行购买符合规格的设备，也可委托社团按实际成本代购；由家庭付费购买的设备归家庭所有。

Equipment availability and personal equipment: Annual fees normally include reasonable use of the Society’s existing shared robotics equipment, but registration remains subject to equipment capacity. If shared equipment becomes insufficient, the Society may, before confirming a new annual registration, require the family to obtain an approved personal or team equipment set for the applicable program. Families may purchase compatible equipment directly or ask the Society to purchase it at actual cost; equipment paid for by the family remains the family’s property.

4. 多子女与中途入会
Multiple Students in a Family and Mid-Year Registration

多子女费用按家庭计算：1 名学生 $2,000；2 名学生 $3,600；3 名学生 $4,800 封顶；4 名及以上由社团根据项目与资源情况另行确认。每名学生仍分别完成会员申请和项目注册。

Multi-student fees are calculated by family: $2,000 for one student; $3,600 for two students; $4,800 capped for three students; and four or more students are reviewed separately based on programs and available resources. Each student still completes a separate membership application and program registration.

由于年度招生主要集中在学年开始阶段，社团不设置固定的中途入会折扣或按月折算公式。学年中途申请加入的学生将按个案确定方式处理：社团根据实际加入时间、当年度剩余训练与赛季安排、可参与项目或队伍、设备容量及相关实际成本，确定该家庭当年度适用费用，并在正式注册确认前书面告知。

Because annual enrollment is concentrated at the beginning of the school year, the Society does not use a fixed mid-year discount schedule or monthly proration formula. Mid-year applications are considered case by case. The Society will determine the applicable family fee based on the joining date, remaining training and season schedule, programs or teams available to the student, equipment capacity, and relevant actual costs, and will communicate the fee in writing before registration is confirmed.

若学生按第 2 条在规定期限内从单次体验转为一个月体验，已支付的 $100 单次体验费可抵扣 $300 一个月体验费；若学生完成一个月体验并在规定期限内转为年度学生会员，已支付的完整 $300 一个月体验费可抵扣经确认的当年度费用。理事会可根据招生、合作项目或社区活动需要另行批准阶段性优惠；除非明确说明，优惠不叠加。

If a student converts from the single-session trial to the one-month trial within the period stated in Section 2, the $100 Single-Session Trial Fee may be credited toward the $300 One-Month Trial Fee. If the student completes the one-month trial and converts to annual Student Membership within the stated period, the full $300 One-Month Trial Fee may be credited against the confirmed annual fee. The Board may approve limited-time promotional, partnership or community discounts when appropriate; discounts do not stack unless expressly stated.

5. 缴费方式
Payment Terms

年度费用原则上应在年度注册确认时一次性缴清。社团可接受 e-Transfer 或支票；如需使用其他付款方式，应在付款前与社团确认。中途加入的学生，其家庭原则上应在注册确认时一次性缴清社团书面确认的当年度适用费用。

Annual fees are normally due in full when annual registration is confirmed. The Society may accept e-Transfer or cheque; any other payment method should be confirmed with the Society in advance. For a student joining mid-year, the family will normally pay the applicable annual fee confirmed by the Society in full when registration is confirmed.

6. 家长与家庭参与
Parent and Family Expectations

Brave Robotics Society 是由学生会员、家庭、教练、义工和合作伙伴共同建设的社区。学生多为未成年人，社团的稳定运营也需要家长在能力和时间允许的范围内提供支持。我们不以固定年度义工小时作为学生会员资格的常规门槛，但期望每个家庭在适当的时候提供实际支持。

Brave Robotics Society is a community built by Student Members, families, coaches, volunteers and partners. Because many Student Members are minors, successful operation also depends on parent participation where time and circumstances allow. The Society does not use a fixed annual volunteer-hour quota as a standard membership threshold, but each family is expected to provide practical support when reasonably possible.

• 支持学生按时参加训练、项目和已确认的比赛活动；如需缺席应提前沟通。

  Support the student in attending training, projects and confirmed competitions on time, and communicate absences in advance.

• 根据需要协助比赛、工作坊、签到、场地布置与收尾、器材整理、交通协调或社区活动。

  Assist when needed with competitions, workshops, registration, setup and cleanup, equipment organization, transportation coordination or community activities.

• 及时阅读社团邮件、日历及其他正式通知，并主动报告时间冲突或重要变化。

  Read Society emails, calendars and other official communications and report scheduling conflicts or important changes promptly.

• 支持孩子独立完成学习、搭建和团队职责，避免代替孩子完成应由学生承担的任务。

  Support the student in doing their own learning, building and team responsibilities rather than completing student tasks on the student’s behalf.

• 每个家庭应保持至少 1 名登记家长或监护人的有效联系方式，并在合理情况下参加重要的家长说明会、年度社区会议或与学生有关的沟通。

  Each family should maintain valid contact information for at least one registered parent or guardian and, where reasonably possible, participate in important family briefings, annual community meetings, or communications concerning the student.

• 在能力允许时支持社团的社区推广、筹款、赛事和长期建设。

  Where possible, support community outreach, fundraising, events and the Society’s long-term development.

7. 学生会员参与要求
Student Member Expectations

• 保持稳定出勤。队伍训练、赛前关键训练和已确认活动应优先参加；因疾病或特殊情况缺席应提前通知。

  Maintain consistent attendance. Team practices, key pre-competition sessions and confirmed activities should be prioritized; absences for illness or exceptional circumstances should be communicated in advance.

• 准时到场，并预留时间完成机器人、工具和工作区域的准备。

  Arrive on time and allow enough time to prepare the robot, tools and workspace.

• 按照年龄和项目要求完成必要的个人练习、测试、工程记录或课后准备。

  Complete appropriate individual practice, testing, engineering documentation or preparation as required for the student’s age and program.

• 个人电子设备应服务于学习、工程或沟通目的；训练期间应遵从教练关于手机和其他设备使用的要求。

  Personal electronic devices should support learning, engineering or communication; students must follow coach instructions regarding phones and other devices during training.

• 尊重队友、教练、义工、裁判、合作学校和其他队伍。良好行为、守时、准备和沟通都属于尊重的一部分。

  Treat teammates, coaches, volunteers, referees, partner schools and other teams with respect. Good behaviour, punctuality, preparation and communication are all part of showing respect.

• 根据年龄和能力参与场地布置、机器人整理、器材归位和活动收尾。

  Help with setup, robot organization, equipment return and cleanup as appropriate for age and ability.

• 在比赛和公共活动中，学生代表的不只是自己，也代表 Brave Robotics Society 和整个社区。

  At competitions and public events, students represent not only themselves but also Brave Robotics Society and its community.

8. 竞赛资格与队伍安排
Competition Eligibility and Team Placement

年度学生会员资格和项目费用提供进入训练体系和竞赛发展路径的机会，但不保证任何特定竞赛队伍名额、比赛报名、主力位置、驾驶/操作时间或每一场比赛的上场机会。

Annual Student Membership and program fees provide access to the training system and a competition-development pathway, but do not guarantee placement on a specific competition team, event registration, a starting role, driving/operating time or participation in every match.

竞赛资格和队伍安排由负责教练或项目负责人根据学生的技术准备程度、出勤和训练投入、团队合作、责任感、成熟度、安全意识、行为表现、队伍需求及赛事规则综合决定。

Competition eligibility and team placement are determined by the responsible coach or program lead based on technical readiness, attendance and preparation, teamwork, responsibility, maturity, safety awareness, conduct, team needs and competition rules.

学生能力和行为均是竞赛资格的一部分。技术表现较强但长期缺席、破坏团队合作或无法遵守安全和行为要求的学生，不应期待仅凭技术能力获得竞赛位置。

Both capability and conduct matter. A technically strong student who is repeatedly absent, undermines teamwork or does not meet safety and behaviour expectations should not expect competition placement based on technical skill alone.

9. 退出与退费
Withdrawal and Refunds

所有体验计划费用均不退款。学生会员如需退出年度项目，应由登记家长或监护人以书面方式通知社团。年度注册在 10 月 31 日或注册日起 30 天（取较晚者）之后原则上不再退款。

All Trial Program fees are non-refundable. If a Student Member withdraws from the annual program, the registered parent or guardian should notify the Society in writing. As a general rule, no annual-registration refund will be issued after October 31 or 30 days after registration, whichever is later.

在退费截止日前申请退出的，社团可退还已支付费用中尚未用于该学生且可收回的部分，并扣除已经发生或承诺的不可退成本，包括已发放队服、已代购装备、已支付的外部赛事费用及其他直接成本。单次体验费抵扣至一个月体验费后，或一个月体验费抵扣至年度费用后，相关体验费仍按不可退体验费处理。

For withdrawals before the refund deadline, the Society may refund the recoverable unused portion of fees paid, less non-refundable costs already incurred or committed for that student, including issued uniforms, special equipment purchases, external event fees and other direct costs. A Single-Session Trial Fee credited toward the One-Month Trial Fee, and a One-Month Trial Fee credited toward annual fees, remain non-refundable.

若学生在退费截止日后停止参加，已支付的年度费用原则上不再退还；重大医疗、搬迁或其他特殊情况，可由理事会或其授权人员酌情处理。

If a student stops participating after the refund deadline, annual fees already paid are normally non-refundable. Significant medical, relocation or other exceptional circumstances may be considered at the discretion of the Board or its delegate.

10. 社区之友、捐赠与企业赞助
Community Friends, Donations and Sponsorship

“社区之友”是独立于学生会员资格之外的支持与荣誉认可机制，建议档位为 $500、$1,000 和 $2,500 以上。社团可根据实际情况提供署名感谢、感谢牌、活动邀请或适度的赞助标识。

“Community Friends” is a support and recognition program separate from Student Membership. Suggested levels are $500, $1,000 and $2,500+. Recognition may include donor acknowledgement, a thank-you plaque, event invitations or appropriate sponsor visibility.

任何捐赠或赞助均不产生会员资格、表决权、理事席位或资金返还权，也不得用于换取指定学生受益、队伍选拔、比赛上场或其他教育机会上的优待。

No donation or sponsorship creates membership, voting rights, a board seat or a right to repayment, and it may not be exchanged for preferential treatment for a named student, team selection, competition participation or other educational opportunities.

在 Brave Robotics Society 未成为 CRA 注册慈善机构或其他合资格受赠机构之前，社团不能开具官方慈善捐赠抵税收据。企业合作原则上以 sponsorship（赞助）方式另行签署安排，本政策不承诺其具体税务处理。

Unless and until Brave Robotics Society becomes a CRA-registered charity or other qualified donee, the Society cannot issue official charitable donation receipts. Corporate support will generally be documented separately as sponsorship, and this policy does not make representations about the sponsor’s tax treatment.

11. 隐私、信息与沟通
Privacy, Information and Communications

保护学生会员、家庭、义工和支持者的个人信息对社团非常重要。注册时家庭应提供有效联系方式及与学生安全、参与支持有关的必要信息，以接收注册确认、付款记录、训练安排、比赛通知和安全沟通，并有责任及时更新重要资料。

Protecting the personal information of Student Members, families, volunteers and supporters is important to the Society. Families must provide valid contact information and information reasonably needed for student safety and participation support in order to receive registration confirmations, payment records, training schedules, competition notices and safety communications, and are responsible for keeping key information current.

个人信息的收集、使用、保存、访问、更正、披露和安全保护按照 Brave Robotics Society 的《隐私说明与信息授权》及适用隐私法律执行。照片和影像授权采用独立的可选同意流程，不因提交会员申请而自动授权。

Collection, use, retention, access, correction, disclosure and protection of personal information are governed by the Brave Robotics Society Privacy Notice & Information Authorization and applicable privacy law. Photo and media authorization is handled through a separate optional consent process and is not automatically granted by submitting a membership application.

12. 安全、行为、会员状态与治理
Safety, Conduct, Membership Status and Governance

学生会员及其家长或监护人应遵守《学生安全、参与规范与行为准则》、场地与安全规则、教练的合理指示以及其他适用于活动的政策。一般问题优先通过沟通和纠正处理；严重或反复违反规则的情况，可限制参与、暂停或终止学生会员资格或项目参与。

Student Members and their parents or guardians must follow the Student Safety, Participation & Code of Conduct, facility and safety rules, reasonable coach instructions, and other policies applicable to Society activities. Concerns will normally be addressed through communication and corrective steps; serious or repeated breaches may result in restricted participation, suspension or termination of Student Membership or program participation.

学生会员现阶段不享有治理表决权。会员大会、理事安排、good standing 及其他正式治理事项以社团适用的治理文件及法律为准；本政策如与适用治理文件或法律冲突，以后者为准。

Student Members do not currently have governance voting rights. Member meetings, board arrangements, good standing and other formal governance matters remain subject to the Society’s applicable governing documents and law. If this policy conflicts with an applicable governing document or law, the latter prevails.

2026-2027 Fee Reference

体验费符合抵扣条件时，单次体验费可按本政策第 2 条抵扣一个月体验费；完整支付的一个月体验费可在符合条件时从家庭实际应付年度费用中扣除，再计算尚未支付的余额。

Where trial-fee credit conditions are met, the Single-Session Trial Fee may be credited toward the One-Month Trial Fee under Section 2; the fully paid One-Month Trial Fee may then be deducted from the family’s applicable annual fee when eligible, before calculating the remaining balance.

设备说明：如某项目因公共设备容量不足而对新注册学生实行个人/队伍设备要求，该设备费用不包含在上述年度费用中，并应在注册确认前另行说明。

Equipment note: If a program requires a newly registered student to obtain personal/team equipment because shared equipment capacity is insufficient, that equipment cost is not included in the annual fees above and will be disclosed separately before registration is confirmed.
